            In the brief period since its release in October, The Writer Within You, the latest book by author Charles Jacobs has been designated one of the Best Books of 2007 by USA BookNews and received a Gold Medal as a Best Business Book of 2007 in the Axiom awards program.

ForeWord Magazine announced last week that the book was one of the finalists from which  medalists will be selected and announced at the forthcoming Book Expo in Los Angeles .

Jacobs, whose background includes top positions on newspapers and magazines on both coasts, began actively freelancing after his retirement. He has published more than 750 articles in periodicals throughout the United States and Canada .
